Publication: Millennium Countdown - The challenge facing Scottish local government

Scottish Councils' Chief Executives are confident there will be no disruption to public services as a result of the millennium date change. The Year 2000 problem should be owned both politically and managerially at the highest level in councils. It should feature as a standing item on the agenda of senior management teams and be the subject of regular progress reports to a committee of the council.
