Programme of performance audits 2011/12
Following a public consultation, we are pleased to announce Audit Scotland’s programme of performance audits which will be published during 2011/12. The programme includes the following audits:
- Community health partnerships
- Community and patient transport
- Scotland's public finances: addressing the challenges
- Justice overview
- Modernising the planning system
- Tele-health
- Reducing greenhouse gas emissions
- Community Planning Partnerships (using economic development as a probe)
- Commonwealth Games – 2nd position statement
- Tele-health
- Commissioning social care
- Efficiency of clinical services (cardiology)
We will prepare a project brief for each audit, setting out the focus of our work; how we will carry it out; how long it will take; and its anticipated impact. These will be available on Our work programme page in due course.
This performance audit programme is part of a wider programme of work for Audit Scotland which includes the annual audits of public bodies, sector overview reports and best value audits of local authorities. The full range of Audit Scotland's work can be viewed in Our work section.
Potential future topics
For 2012/13, we are proposing the concept of a rolling programme where we will have a fixed programme of work and a programme of potential topics on which we will keep a watching brief and may audit at a future date. View the proposed programme of performance audits here.
