About the Accounts Commission
The Accounts Commission is the independent public body which oversees the performance and spending within Scotland’s 32 councils, 30 health and social care joint integration boards and other joint boards. We play a significant role in Scottish public life, helping to ensure that public money is spent properly, efficiently and effectively. We are responsible for the audit of all local authorities in Scotland.

This is a particularly exciting time to join the Accounts Commission. As a member of the Accounts Commission, you will have a key role in helping the Commission to re-shape the audit of Scotland’s local government and help councils deliver and improve services for our citizens and the communities they live in.
How to apply
Scottish Ministers particularly welcome applications from groups currently under-represented on Scotland’s public body boards, such as women, disabled people, ethnic minorities and people aged under 50.
