Publication: Stirling Council: The Audit of Best Value and Community Planning 2005

The first Best Value report on Stirling council commends the council's ambition and commitment to improvement. However it also states that elected members need to become more actively involved in scrutiny, performance management and reporting must get better and there is a need to reallocate resources to the poorer performing services, without compromising those areas that are performing well.
