Audit Scotland annual review 2013/14

Audit Scotland has published its annual review for the 2013/14 year. This is a web-only summary of our main annual report and accounts. The review highlights our audit work over the past year and includes case studies showing where our work has made an impact.

The Chair of the Audit Scotland Board, Ronnie Cleland, and Accountable Officer and Auditor General, Caroline Gardner, note that Scotland’s public services continue to operate in a changing environment, and that Audit Scotland must adapt and respond.

The review shows that we have reduced the cost of public audit by 23.5 per cent over the past four years, while remaining committed to world class audit work that improves the use of public money and public services.
