Publication: Benchmarking refuse collection - A review of councils' refuse collection services

Council refuse collection services are much more efficient than they used to be following the wide-spread introduction of kerb-side wheelie bins and bigger refuse vehicles. However, there is scope for further improvements in performance, for example in managing bonus and sickness absence.
